Showcasing the charm and creativity of our local artisans through our Sebastian River Area Chamber or Commerce murals program. It is our mission to bring beauty to our area while connecting our community with creations that tell our story to a broader population.
Mural programs provide opportunities for local artists to showcase their talent and creativity on a large scale. They can serve as platforms for emerging artists to gain recognition and exposure within the community and beyond.
A robust mural program enhances the aesthetic appeal of public spaces and businesses, fosters community engagement and builds a sense of pride throughout the area.
Well-executed mural programs are known to attract tourists and visitors to an area, boosting local businesses and economic development.

I have created over 200 murals across the United States in museums, businesses, private homes and in public places. This is only a small sample of the many murals I’ve created. Omar Esquivel
Born in Havana, Cuba. Omar started painting at an early age, and is a self-taught artist. His first exhibition was in Miami with the Miami Medical Team at Sonesta Beach Hotel. In 1996, he participated in the Spanish Cultural Celebration painting two murals which appeared in the New Herald Newspaper in Miami Florida.
Since then, he worked as an art teacher aid and active in many festivals. Omar Esquivel attended New World of Art School in Downtown Miami and now resides in Orlando. In addition to the many mural projects completed, you can also see his amazing artistic abilities in our very own Mel Fisher Treasure Museum and Gift Shop here in Sebastian!

Nico Suave
Nicole Holderbaum aka "Nico" is a Florida-based visual artist, muralist, creative director, and designer. Nico trained in art schools and programs growing up, eventually leaving to furtherdevelop her career in Jacksonville as a muralist and street artist. Nico has painted murals around the world, and has been commissioned by & collaborated with globally recognized brands and businesses, including Red Bull, Empire Records, Atlantic Records, Island Records, the Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL), Swisher Sweets, PNC Bank, among many others. Nico has also participated at popular mural and music festivals, including Governor's Ball and Wide Open Walls.
Nico has an established track record as a community leader and youth empowerment enthusiast. She has been awarded extensively for her community activism, recognized inJacksonville as a "Community Champion" and "Art Innovator'.
She has curated and produced art & music events, as well as creating a community program called the Kid's Mural Project, guiding thousands of students across Florida in designing and painting murals. She is also a leading member of Few & Far Women, a global all-female crew of street artists, who have organized mural productions from Mexico to India and aim for
women empowerment and inspiration through the arts.
Nico is now currently based in Miami, where she looks forward to growing in a thriving arts community, further develop her skillsets and projects, and grow as a creative director.

Deanna Derosia
Deanna Derosia is an illustrator and biologist born and raised in the sunny Treasure Coast of Florida. Growing up next door to nesting sea turtles, strolling alligators, and bright pink spoonbills ignited her curiosity for the natural world, and inspired her to preserve unique habitats like Florida’s for generations to come. She founded her business Sealacanth Studios to now help others explore our natural world, discover its oddities, and learn about their own next door critters through the storytelling quality of art.
